About The Position

Tradesmen International is hiring motivated Carpenter Helpers for projects in or around Knoxville, Tennessee. This is a first-shift opportunity with pay of up to $22 per hour, based on experience and skill level. The role offers the opportunity to learn and develop in the trade while working alongside experienced craft professionals. The Carpenter Helper supports shop work involving the fabrication and assembly of wood cabinets, laminate products, and plywood components. The position also involves cutting, fitting, and finishing solid-surface and laminate materials, sanding countertops and surfaces, performing basic layout work, and using hand tools and shop equipment. Helpers support daily shop operations, uphold quality and production standards, maintain a clean and safe workspace, and follow company safety procedures and shop requirements.

Requirements

At least 2 years of construction, carpentry, woodworking, or cabinet fabrication experience.
Ability to read a tape measure accurately.
Experience using hand tools and basic power tools.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Dependability, safety consciousness, and eagerness to learn.

Nice To Haves

Experience with cabinetry, laminates, plywood, or millwork.

Responsibilities

Assist with the fabrication and assembly of wood cabinets, laminate products, and plywood components.
