About The Position

Swissport is a global leader in aviation services, providing Ground Handling, Cargo Handling, and Passenger Services. The Cargo Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for leading a team during a turnaround or in a specific area/task, ensuring compliance with safety, security, and operational performance policies. This role involves managing warehouse operations, loading/unloading air cargo, preparing documentation, and adhering to regulatory requirements. The expected pay rate is $28.00/hour. Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent
  • Fluent spoken and written English
  • 5 years' operational experience in ground handling, cargo, or aircraft fueling services
  • Excellent working knowledge of proper safety practices, procedural compliance and operations delivery
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft suite of programs, including Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Excel
  • Ability to coach and motivate teams to deliver high quality standards
  • Ability to resolve problems with a focus on excellent customer service
  • Ability to establish and maintain positive, professional, work relationships with teams and customers

Responsibilities

  • Functional member of the operational team working on a shift-basis.
  • Act as technical expert on the ground for complex issues.
  • Coaching and coordinating the assigned team.
  • Perform tasks stipulated by SLAs as needing a senior member of staff.
  • Responsible for accurate service capturing of operational activities for invoicing and flight/task reports.
  • Allocate tasks to team members.
  • Ensure compliance with all Operating Procedures (SOP, LOP), including Station Safety Rules and supervise Emergency Procedures.
  • Supervise all Operations and stand in for Duty Manager or equivalent as required.
  • Provide team with work instructions during shift/turnaround.
  • Lead and train on-the-job as necessary.
  • Provide duty managers with feedback on employees for development/disciplinary conversations.
  • Escalate customer complaints to Duty Managers promptly.
  • Assume responsibility for day-of allocation tasks on a rotating basis in small stations.
  • Conduct QHSSE related daily checks/inspections and report into systems.
  • Responsible for Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental activities at the station.
