About The Position

AGI is seeking a Cargo Ramp Agent to support cargo operations in a fast-paced, safety-focused aviation environment. AGI is an aviation services company operating in more than 50 cities across North America, employing over 3,000 people and serving nearly 200 airline customers. The company has 45 years of aviation experience and emphasizes quality service and safety. The role involves assisting customers with cargo drop-off and pickup, preparing shipping documentation, handling and transporting cargo and US Mail, entering airway bill data, and screening cargo for security. Agents also remove Foreign Object Debris (FOD) from the cargo warehouse area. The position requires physical activity, outdoor work in all weather conditions, and flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Up to three weeks of paid training may require travel.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age.
Have a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
Possess a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
Pass a drug screen and obtain airport security clearance, including an extensive 10-year employment, criminal record, and residence background check.
Be able to lift up to 50 pounds (23 kg) unassisted.
Be able to bend, kneel, and stoop frequently.
Be able to work outside in all types of weather and around jet and machinery noise.
Be flexible to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Be able to travel for up to three weeks of paid training.

Responsibilities

Greet customers dropping off and picking up cargo and assist them with completing shipping documentation.
Sort, load, unload, and transport cargo and US Mail.
Operate a forklift and pallet jack as required.
Accurately enter airway bill data.
Perform security screening of cargo before transport.
Remove Foreign Object Debris (FOD) from in and around the cargo warehouse.
Arrive on time, be prepared, and work safely.
