About The Position

AGI is seeking a Cargo Ramp Agent to support cargo and mail operations in a fast-paced, safety-focused aviation environment. The role includes assisting customers with cargo drop-off and pickup, handling and transporting cargo and U.S. Mail, entering airway bill information, and screening cargo before transport. The agent also helps maintain a safe warehouse environment by removing Foreign Object Debris (FOD). The work may involve outdoor conditions, aircraft and machinery noise, and varying shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Paid training of up to three weeks may require travel.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Have a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
• Possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Pass a drug screen and obtain airport security clearance, including a 10-year employment, criminal record, and residence background check.
• Be able to travel for up to three weeks of paid training.
• Be able to lift up to 50 pounds (23 kg) unassisted.
• Be able to bend, kneel, and stoop frequently.
• Be able to work outdoors in all types of weather and around jet and machinery noise.
• Be flexible to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers dropping off or picking up cargo and assist them with shipping documentation.
• Sort, load, unload, and transport cargo and U.S. Mail.
• Operate a forklift and pallet jack as required.
• Enter airway bill data accurately.
• Perform security screening of cargo before transport.
• Remove Foreign Object Debris (FOD) in and around the cargo warehouse.
• Arrive on time, be prepared, and work safely.
