About The Position

Home Helpers Home Care of Sarasota is seeking dependable, compassionate caregivers to provide one-on-one in-home support to seniors in Port Charlotte and the surrounding local area. Caregivers assist clients with daily activities, personal care, companionship, and other individualized needs while following care plans and communicating professionally with families and the office team. The role offers flexible full-time and part-time scheduling, primarily weekday day shifts, initial and ongoing training, and a supportive office environment. Compensation is $17–$19 per hour, with performance incentives and travel reimbursement.

Requirements

• Professional caregiving experience is preferred.
• Applicants with caregiving experience are encouraged to apply with or without CNA/HHA certification.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and auto insurance.
• Must have a clean driving record.
• Must have access to a smartphone and email.

Nice To Haves

• CNA or HHA certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living and personal care.
• Provide companionship.
• Prepare meals.
• Assist with shopping, errands, and transportation.
• Pick up prescriptions and assist with telehealth visits.
• Perform light housekeeping.
• Follow individualized care plans.
• Communicate professionally with clients’ families and office staff.
