About The Position

HomeWell Care Services of NWI is seeking compassionate Caregivers to enhance seniors’ lives and support people who wish to age in place in their own homes. Caregivers work individually with clients, one-on-one, providing non-medical in-home services and building relationships with clients. The role is available full-time or part-time, with flexible schedules.

Requirements

• No healthcare certification is required.
• Daily access to email, the Internet, and a mobile phone.
• Proof of a current negative tuberculosis (TB) test, as required by the State of Indiana.
• Ability to physically perform the duties of the position, including lifting, pushing, and pulling approximately 25 pounds.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation, with proof of valid driver's license and automobile insurance.
• A compassionate heart for older adults.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Mature, caring, punctual, and reliable.

Nice To Haves

• CNA or HHA certification, or at least six months of experience caring for geriatric, chronically ill, or disabled persons.
• Experience with dementia and Alzheimer's care.

Responsibilities

• Provide social companionship.
• Support clients with daily living tasks, including feeding, medication reminders, bathing, dressing, personal hygiene, grooming, and toileting.
• Perform light housekeeping, light cleaning, laundry, and cooking or meal preparation.
• Provide transportation to appointments, errands, and social outings.
• Provide standby assistance with transfers.
• Provide overnight safety assistance.
• Provide other care as needed.
