About The Position

HomeWell Care Services of NWI is seeking compassionate caregivers to provide one-on-one, non-medical support to seniors and others in their homes. The role focuses on helping clients age in place while building relationships and enhancing their quality of life with empathy, excellence, and integrity. Full-time or part-time options are available.

Requirements

• No healthcare certification is required.
• Have daily access to email, the Internet, and a mobile phone.
• Provide proof of a current negative tuberculosis (TB) test, as required by the State of Indiana.
• Be physically able to perform the job duties, including lifting, pushing, and pulling approximately 25 pounds.
• Have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation, and provide proof of valid driver's license and automobile insurance.
• Have a compassionate heart for older adults.
• Possess excellent communication skills.
• Be mature, caring, punctual, and reliable.

Nice To Haves

• CNA or HHA certification, or at least six months of experience caring for geriatric, chronically ill, or disabled persons.
• Experience with dementia and Alzheimer's care.

Responsibilities

• Provide social companionship.
• Assist with daily living tasks, including feeding, medication reminders, bathing, dressing, personal hygiene, grooming, and toileting.
• Perform light housekeeping, cleaning, laundry, cooking, and meal preparation.
• Provide transportation to appointments, errands, and social outings.
• Offer standby assistance with transfers.
• Provide overnight safety assistance.
