Caregiver - Immediate Opening
About The Position
Independent Home Health is hiring a dependable, compassionate Caregiver for an immediate opening with a client in Selinsgrove, PA. This part-time weekend position offers a predictable schedule every other Saturday from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, providing approximately 6 hours of work every other week. The pay rate is $15/hour. This role is ideal for individuals seeking occasional weekend work, supplemental income, or to gain caregiving experience. The primary focus is providing one-on-one, non-medical care in the client's home to ensure their safety, comfort, and independence. While professional caregiving experience is not required, reliability, patience, and a genuine desire to help others are essential.
Requirements
- Be 18 years of age or older
- Have a valid driver's license
- Have reliable transportation
- Be able to complete required background checks
- Be dependable, caring and patient
- Be available every other Saturday from 9:00 AM–3:00 PM
Nice To Haves
- Previous caregiving experience is welcome, but it is not required.
- Experience as a caregiver, direct care worker, personal care aide, home health aide, PCA, HHA or CNA is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Assist with bathing, dressing and grooming
- Help with mobility and everyday activities
- Prepare meals
- Complete light housekeeping
- Provide companionship and conversation
- Assist with errands or appointments when needed
- Follow the individual's care plan
- Document the services you provide
