About The Position
Qualicare Home Care SF Bay Area is hiring compassionate, dependable caregivers to help clients live safely and comfortably in their own homes. The position offers flexible scheduling, including short shifts, long shifts, and extended-care opportunities, with daytime, evening, overnight, and weekend assignments. Paid training and orientation are provided, and eligible caregivers may receive reimbursement for their California Home Care Aide (HCA) registration fee after meeting program requirements. Caregivers receive nurse mentorship and ongoing support, with opportunities for career growth and advancement.
Requirements
- Ability to provide required TB clearance.
- Access to a smartphone for scheduling and documentation.
- Ability to travel throughout Contra Costa and Alameda Counties.
- A valid California driver’s license and reliable transportation for assignments requiring travel.
- Weekend availability is needed.
Nice To Haves
- California Home Care Aide (HCA) registration is preferred; registration assistance and reimbursement may be available to eligible caregivers.
- Previous caregiving experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care, hygiene, and daily activities.
- Prepare meals and assist with eating as needed.
- Provide companionship and emotional support.
- Help clients with mobility and safe transfers within the caregiver’s training and care plan.
- Provide medication reminders.
- Assist with light housekeeping related to client care.
- Accompany clients to appointments, shopping, and errands.
- Follow individualized care plans and complete required documentation.
