East Valley Caregiver
About The Position
The Caregiver provides high-quality, safe, and supportive care to patients in their own homes. The role assists patients with activities of daily living and other tasks essential to everyday living. Care is delivered across the East Valley and surrounding areas, including Phoenix, Scottsdale, Paradise Valley, Gilbert, Mesa, Chandler, Cave Creek, Carefree, and Ahwatukee. The employer is a family-owned and operated home healthcare company. Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalency.
- Current TB testing.
- CPR/First Aid; resources can be provided if needed.
- DCW training; resources can be provided if needed.
- Fingerprint clearance; resources to obtain it can be provided.
- 0–1 year of experience in healthcare, hospitality, or an in-home care environment.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal hygiene, bathing, showering, and dressing.
- Assist with ambulation, physical therapy exercises, and walking inside and outside the home.
- Help plan and prepare meals.
- Perform light housekeeping, including dishes, bedding, laundry, dusting, sweeping, and mopping.
- Remind clients to take prescription medications and attend scheduled appointments.
- Complete shopping tasks or accompany clients while they shop.
- Provide safe and reliable transportation to appointments, shopping, the pharmacy, and other errands as needed.
