About The Position

River Point of Kerrville is seeking a Caregiver to support residents with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, socialization, cognition, and physical health. The caregiver encourages residents’ independence and choice and preserves their dignity through professional conduct and interactions. Requirements

• Exhibit a positive customer service attitude; be approachable, friendly, and willing to assist others.
• Demonstrate personal initiative to complete work without constant supervision.
• Demonstrate consistent attendance as scheduled.
• Communicate sensitively and effectively, including careful listening and timely, accurate reporting.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident and staff information.
• Present a neat, clean appearance.
• Meet age requirements according to facility policy and state regulations.

Nice To Haves

• Prior direct care experience is preferred.
• Current CPR certification is preferred.
• High school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Support residents with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, socialization, cognition, and physical health.

• Complete work with personal initiative and without constant supervision.
• Attend work as scheduled and address work-related problems with the appropriate individuals.
• Listen carefully, respond thoughtfully, and report information accurately and promptly to appropriate people.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident and staff information.
• Participate in designated facility in-services.
• Help new staff learn job tasks and responsibilities.
• Maintain a neat, clean appearance.
