About The Position

River Point of Kerrville is seeking a Caregiver to support residents with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, socialization, cognition, and physical health. The role encourages resident independence, supports resident choice, and preserves resident dignity through professional conduct and interactions. The listed shift is 2:00 pm–10:00 pm.

The Caregiver is expected to provide positive customer service, take initiative, communicate thoughtfully and accurately, maintain confidentiality, and present a neat, clean appearance. The position also participates in designated facility in-services and helps new staff learn job tasks and responsibilities.

Requirements

• Meet age requirements according to facility policy and state regulations.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Demonstrate consistent work attendance as scheduled and address work-related problems with the proper individuals.

Nice To Haves

• Prior direct care experience.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Support residents with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, socialization, cognition, and physical health.
• Encourage resident independence, support resident choice, and preserve resident dignity through professional conduct and interactions.
• Complete work with personal initiative and without constant supervision.
• Communicate through careful listening, sensitivity to others’ thoughts and feelings, thoughtful responses, and timely, accurate reporting to appropriate people.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident and staff information.
• Participate in designated facility in-services.
• Help new staff learn job tasks and responsibilities.
• Maintain a neat, clean appearance and demonstrate a positive customer service attitude.
