About The Position

Comfort Keepers is hiring part-time caregivers in the St. Cloud area, with full-time hours also available depending on availability. Caregivers provide in-home support to help clients remain safe, comfortable, and independent in their homes. Starting pay is $18 per hour, or $20 per hour for Certified Nursing Assistants. After five months of employment, eligible employees can take free CNA classes through Scrubs Academy.

Requirements

Experience in a caregiving role.
Availability every other weekend and on holidays.
Must be at least 21 years old.
High school diploma or GED.
Reliable personal transportation, a clean driving record, and at least three years of driving experience.
Valid driver’s license and auto insurance; must be comfortable driving.
Clearance of DHS and driving-record background checks.
Customer service excellence and professional boundaries are required.

Nice To Haves

Certified Nursing Assistant certification; CNA classes are available free to eligible employees after five months of employment.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with activities of daily living, including dressing, grooming, incontinence care, and hygiene.
Perform light housekeeping, including cleaning bathrooms and living areas, dusting, mopping, changing linens, vacuuming, laundry, and taking out garbage.
Plan and prepare meals, including cooking and baking.
Provide conversation and companionship through interactive caregiving.
Assist clients with mobility, including use of transfer tools or equipment.
Assist with medication.
Provide dementia or Alzheimer’s care.
Communicate with the Client Care Coordinator as needed.
Complete proper electronic documentation of shifts and care provided.
