About The Position

TheKey is hiring caregivers to provide one-to-one in-home care for aging adults in Westlake Village, Woodland Hills, Sherman Oaks, Valley Village, and surrounding areas. Short shifts are available across mornings, days, and evenings, with full-time and part-time opportunities. Weekend availability is preferred for the listed schedules, and caregivers must work weekends. Specific assignments include companionship, meal preparation, and transportation to outings in Westlake Village; standby assistance and hands-on mobility support as needed in Woodland Hills; Hoyer lift operation, catheter care, and support for a bedbound client in Sherman Oaks; and standby assistance and transportation to outings in Valley Village. General short-shift needs are also available throughout surrounding Valley locations. Caregivers assist clients in their homes with personal care, light housekeeping, transportation, and companionship. TheKey describes its local teams as supporting caregivers and providing quality care to seniors. Applicants must meet applicable California background-screening requirements, including timely and accurate positive fingerprint identification. A conditional offer will be rescinded if an applicant has a non-exemptible conviction, in compliance with applicable laws.

Requirements

At least 1 year of professional caregiving experience.
Must work weekends.
At least 18 years of age.
Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
HCA Registration with the State of California; TheKey can help obtain it upon hire.
Must meet state background requirements, including timely and accurate positive fingerprint identification; a non-exemptible conviction disqualifies an applicant in accordance with applicable laws.
Valid driver's license and access to a fully insured personal vehicle.
TB clearance or chest X-ray.

Responsibilities

Assist clients one-to-one in their homes with dressing, bathing, grooming, and meals.
Perform basic cleaning, laundry, and organizing.
Drive clients to appointments and outings, run errands, and grocery shop.
Provide companionship and social and emotional support through games, puzzles, or other activities.
Prepare meals and provide engaging companionship for the Westlake Village assignment.
Provide standby assistance and hands-on mobility support as needed for the Woodland Hills assignment.
Operate a Hoyer lift, provide catheter care, and support a bedbound client for the Sherman Oaks assignment.
Provide standby assistance and transportation to outings for the Valley Village assignment.
