Caregiver – Dementia | Hoyer Lift
About The Position
TheKey is hiring caregivers to provide one-to-one, in-home support to aging adults in Westlake Village, Woodland Hills, Sherman Oaks, Valley Village, and surrounding areas. Short shifts are available across mornings, days, and evenings, Monday through Sunday. Weekend availability is required. Specific assignments include companionship, meal preparation, transportation, stand-by and hands-on mobility assistance, Hoyer lift operation, catheter care, and support for bedbound clients. Caregivers assist clients with personal care such as dressing, bathing, grooming, and meals; light housekeeping, laundry, and organizing; transportation to appointments and outings, errands, and grocery shopping; and companionship through games, puzzles, and other social and emotional activities. TheKey describes itself as a provider of private-pay in-home care for seniors and says it supports caregivers through local teams, training, and 24/7 caregiver support.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of professional caregiving experience.
- Must work weekends.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
- California HCA registration, or willingness to obtain it upon hire, and compliance with state background requirements.
- Valid driver's license and access to a fully insured personal vehicle.
- TB clearance or chest X-ray.
- Must meet applicable state background screening requirements and be eligible to work in the United States.
Nice To Haves
- Hoyer lift experience for assignments involving lift operation.
- Availability for Saturday or Sunday is highly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide one-to-one assistance to clients in their homes.
- Assist with personal care, including dressing, bathing, grooming, and meals.
- Perform light housekeeping, basic cleaning, laundry, and organizing.
- Drive clients to appointments and outings, and run errands and grocery shopping.
- Provide companionship and social and emotional support through activities such as games and puzzles.
- Provide assignment-specific support, including meal preparation, stand-by and hands-on mobility assistance, Hoyer lift operation, catheter care, and support for bedbound clients.
