Caregiver - Green Cove Springs
About The Position
A home-based Caregiver with Apex Companion Care provides support, personal hygiene assistance, and help with household functions so an individual can remain in their own home. The role serves clients in Green Cove Springs and surrounding areas and is listed as PRN with multiple shifts available. The Caregiver helps clients with activities of daily living, household tasks, and transportation to appointments or errands. The position also involves monitoring and documenting client condition, vital signs, and incidents; maintaining confidentiality and using an EVV system; ensuring a safe environment; properly operating medical equipment; and responding promptly to client needs.
Requirements
- Current driver’s license and vehicle insurance, access to a dependable vehicle, or public transportation.
- Ability to function in any home situation regardless of the client’s age, race, creed, color, sex, disability, or financial condition.
- Florida applicants must successfully complete at least 40 hours of training in areas required by the Agency for Health Care Administration or pass the home health aide competency test (Form AHCA 3110-1007 created by AHCA).
Nice To Haves
- Current CPR certification or ability to complete it within 90 days of hire.
- Six or more months of home care experience.
- Ability to work flexible hours as required to meet identified clients’ needs.
Responsibilities
- Provide personal care and assist with daily living activities such as bathing, grooming, dressing, ambulation, and medication reminders.
- Support household tasks and meal preparation, and accompany clients to appointments or errands as needed.
- Monitor and document client condition, vital signs, and incidents; maintain confidentiality and use the EVV system.
- Ensure a safe environment, operate medical equipment properly, and respond promptly to client needs.
