About The Position

Home Instead is seeking compassionate, dependable caregivers to provide consistent, hands-on support to an older gentleman in Roland, Iowa, helping him remain safe and comfortable at home. Three shift options are available: morning (8:00 AM–12:00 PM), afternoon (12:00 PM–5:00 PM), and evening (5:00 PM–10:00 PM).

The role includes attentive supervision and dementia care; help with mobility and personal care; calm guidance and consistent routines; companionship through familiar activities; and support to prevent falls and maintain a safe home environment. The starting wage is $17 per hour, with an additional weekend shift premium. Paid orientation and ongoing training are provided. Health insurance and a 401(k) with company match are available subject to eligibility requirements. Vacation pay, annual performance appraisals, opportunities for additional hours, and 24/7 on-call support are also mentioned.

Requirements

• Experience with dementia and hands-on personal care.
• Confidence assisting seniors with mobility and fall risks.
• Patience, reliability, attentiveness, and a proactive approach.
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and auto insurance.

Responsibilities
