About The Position

Home Instead is seeking a compassionate, dependable caregiver to provide consistent, hands-on support to an older gentleman in Roland, Iowa, helping him remain safe and comfortable at home. The role focuses on dementia care, personal care, mobility assistance, supervision, companionship, and maintaining a safe home environment. Three shift options are available: morning (8:00 AM–12:00 PM), afternoon (12:00 PM–5:00 PM), and evening (5:00 PM–10:00 PM).

Requirements

• Experience with dementia and hands-on personal care.
• Confidence assisting seniors with mobility and fall risks.
• Patience, reliability, attentiveness, and a proactive approach.
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive supervision and dementia care.
• Assist with walking, toileting, bathing, and personal hygiene.
• Offer calm, clear guidance and maintain consistent daily routines.
• Provide companionship through television, puzzles, and familiar activities.
• Help prevent falls and maintain a safe home environment.
