About The Position

Amada Senior Care is hiring caregivers in Dickinson, Texas, to provide compassionate, non-medical in-home care to seniors, including veterans. Caregivers support clients in living safely, comfortably, and independently in their homes by providing companionship and assistance with personal care and everyday activities. The role requires travel within a 20-mile radius of the caregiver’s home address and willingness to work with male and female clients. Full-time and part-time opportunities are available, including flexible day, overnight, and weekend shifts. Pay is $12–$16 per hour.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in healthcare or an in-home care environment.
• Valid driver’s license and auto insurance, and reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
• Ability and willingness to travel within a 20-mile radius of the applicant’s home address.
• Ability and willingness to work with both male and female clients.
• Ability to perform all essential job functions, with or without reasonable accommodations.
• Supportive, compassionate, dependable, and professional attitude.

Responsibilities

• Provide conversation, emotional support, and companionship to elderly clients.
• Assist clients with showering, bathing, toileting, and dressing.
• Remind clients to take prescribed medications as directed.
• Help clients move safely at home and accompany them on walks and to doctors’ appointments.
• Plan and prepare meals according to clients’ needs.
• Run shopping errands for clients or accompany them while shopping.
• Perform light housekeeping to maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable living environment.
• Report unusual incidents and respond promptly and responsibly to emergencies.
• Encourage and assist clients with activities essential to everyday living.
