Part-Time Caregiver in Richmond
About The Position
Griswold Home Care Central Contra Costa is hiring a part-time Caregiver to support a client in Richmond, California. The caregiver will help the client maintain comfort, dignity, and independence at home through companionship and personalized assistance. The position has an immediate opening, and immediate availability is strongly preferred. The selected schedule will be either 10:00 AM–1:00 PM or 9:00 AM–12:00 PM, depending on the client’s needs. Compensation is $20–$22 per hour. The caregiver must be able to reliably travel to the client’s home in Richmond. Griswold Home Care provides and refers professional caregivers and supports adults with services including companion care, home services, personal care, and respite care. Requirements
- Active California Home Care Aide (HCA) registration.
- Current TB clearance or test documentation that meets agency requirements.
- Previous caregiving experience, especially with companionship, meal preparation, and personal care.
- Reliable transportation to the client’s home in Richmond.
- Valid driver’s license and current auto insurance.
- Strong communication skills, patience, and a respectful attitude.
- Ability to follow care instructions and maintain client confidentiality.
- Availability to work one of the listed morning schedules and begin as soon as possible.

Responsibilities
- Provide companionship and meaningful social interaction.
- Assist with personal care and activities of daily living as assigned in the care plan.
- Help with meal preparation and light household tasks as needed.
- Support the client’s comfort, safety, and well-being.
- Follow the client’s care plan and agency procedures.
- Promptly communicate important updates or concerns to the office.
