About The Position

Companions Forever is hiring a part-time caregiver to provide non-medical home care in Simsbury and other service areas across Connecticut. Caregivers follow each client’s individualized Plan of Care and support clients in maintaining independence at home. Available schedules include weekdays, weekends, awake overnights, and live-in shifts.

Companions Forever provides non-medical home care, including live-in companion and hourly homemaker services, across Connecticut. The company has served clients for over three decades and maintains staff availability 24/7.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and a reliable vehicle.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check.

Nice To Haves

• Open availability is preferred.
• Experience as a caregiver, HHA, CNA, PCA, or companion is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide non-medical home care in accordance with each client’s individualized Plan of Care.
• Transport clients to appointments and activities.
• Assist with light housekeeping, meal preparation, errands, and grocery shopping.
• Assist clients with dressing, bathing, mobility, and incontinence care.
• Offer companionship and emotional support.
• Document care and provide reminders as directed.
