About The Position

TheKey is hiring caregivers to provide one-to-one, in-home assistance to aging adults in Santa Clarita. The posting lists short shifts, including morning and evening shifts from Monday through Sunday; a specific schedule of 12:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. is also available. Weekend availability is required, with Saturday or Sunday availability highly preferred. Requirements

At least 1 year of professional caregiving experience.
Must work weekends.
At least 18 years of age.
Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
California HCA registration, including meeting state background requirements; TheKey can help obtain registration upon hire.
Valid driver's license and access to a fully insured personal vehicle.
TB clearance or chest X-ray.
Must comply with state background screening requirements and California fingerprint identification requirements.

Responsibilities

Provide one-to-one assistance to clients in their homes.
Assist with personal care, including dressing, bathing, grooming, and meals.
Perform light housekeeping, including basic cleaning, laundry, and organizing.
Drive clients to appointments and outings, and run errands and grocery shopping.
Provide companionship and social and emotional support through games, puzzles, and other activities.
Provide care involving dementia, transfers, bed-bound clients, and incontinence, as assigned.
