About The Position
Comfort Keepers is seeking a compassionate, reliable, and experienced Caregiver to provide high-quality, non-medical in-home support for seniors. The role helps enhance clients’ independence and quality of life through physical transfers, daily living assistance, and companionship. Caregivers follow individualized Plans of Care, maintain a safe home environment, monitor for fall risks, and report changes in clients’ conditions.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of hands-on caregiving experience in in-home care, a facility, or private care.
- Valid driver’s license, active auto insurance, and a reliable personal vehicle.
- Ability to safely lift up to 25 lbs and perform physical transfers.
- Excellent communication skills, strong punctuality, and a safety-first mindset.
- Comfort working in homes with pets.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with transfer equipment and dementia care.
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license.
Responsibilities
- Safely assist clients with walking, standing, and physical transfers using equipment such as gait belts, sit-to-stand devices, and mechanical lifts.
- Assist clients with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and meal preparation.
- Follow custom Plans of Care, maintain a safe living environment, monitor for fall risks, and report changes in client conditions.
- Provide engaging social interaction, active listening, and emotional support.
