About The Position

Acti-Kare Responsive In-Home Care - Tracy is hiring an experienced part-time caregiver to assist adult clients in their homes in Danville, California. Caregivers work one-to-one with a single client at a time, though they must be willing to work with more than one client. Shifts are typically 3 to 6 hours, with a listed 4-hour shift, and may be scheduled Monday through Friday and on weekends as needed. The role is an immediate opening, and applicants should be available to start right away. Online training must be completed before shifts begin; certificates may be provided for training completed previously.

Caregivers support seniors and other adults, including people recovering from injury or surgery and people with disabilities, with activities of daily living. Work takes place in clients’ homes and includes caregiving and household support. Applicants must pass required background and reference checks. Caregivers follow CDC COVID-19 recommendations; vaccination is not required, but full vaccination is a plus.

Requirements

• At least one year of caregiving experience.
• Valid driver's license; required for transportation services and listed as required for the role.
• Enjoy working with seniors.
• Availability for day shifts.
• Willingness to work 3- to 6-hour shifts, Monday through Friday and weekends as needed.
• Willingness to work with more than one client while providing one-to-one care to one client at a time.
• Ability to pass required background and reference checks.
• Willingness to complete online training before starting shifts, unless providing certificates for training already completed.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living, including cooking, bathing, dressing, and toileting.
• Provide housekeeping and laundry assistance.
• Assist clients with ambulation and physical transfers.
• Provide transportation services when applicable.
• Complete required online training before beginning shifts.
• Follow CDC recommendations for COVID-19 guidelines.
