About The Position

Christie Clinic's Physical Therapy department is seeking a full-time Physical Therapist at The Riverfront clinic in Danville, Illinois. The role is scheduled Monday through Friday, with flexible hours between 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. and no required nights or weekends. The position evaluates, plans, interprets, and implements specific physical therapy treatment programs for patients. The Physical Therapist collaborates with health professionals, patients, and support staff to evaluate patients, establish diagnoses and prognoses, develop plans of care, and deliver and adapt treatment. The role also includes patient education, documentation and chart maintenance, review of Physical Therapist Assistant notes, billing-code selection, quality and safety activities, and participation in clinic education and data reporting. The work is performed in a clinical setting, with possible exposure to diseases, toxic substances, radiation, medicinal preparations, and other conditions common to a clinic. The job description notes that requirements may include irregular hours. The estimated salary range is $75,299 to $101,364, exclusive of fringe benefits and potential bonuses. A sign-on bonus is available.

Requirements

Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy.
Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapy program.
License to practice Physical Therapy in Illinois.
CPR certification.
Ability to meet physical demands including sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, stretching, and lifting up to 75 pounds.
Ability to use department equipment, facilitate prescribed treatment including patient handling, communicate the nature of treatment to patients, and prepare provider reports.
Hearing within or correctable to the normal range, vision correctable to 20/20, and manual dexterity for operating office equipment.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with a variety of health professionals; consult, educate, and engage in critical inquiry.
Clarify referring providers’ instructions and recommendations as needed.
Direct and supervise Physical Therapy services, including support personnel.
Examine and evaluate patients and establish Physical Therapy diagnoses and prognoses.
Establish plans of care and treatment programs in coordination with support staff and medical staff.
Coordinate and communicate relevant patient information with members of the medical team and patients.
Document patient information in charts in a timely manner in accordance with department and APTA guidelines.
Maintain patient records and charts in accordance with insurance guidelines.
Instruct patients, families, caregivers, and communities in activities that promote and optimize Physical Therapy services.
Select, apply, and modify procedural interventions based on patient evaluations.
Evaluate charts and reports on patient progress.
Review and co-sign Physical Therapist Assistant notes in a timely manner.
Select appropriate billing codes and demonstrate understanding of insurance rules, regulations, and billing practices.
Recommend Physical Therapy policies and procedures concerning services provided.
Maintain quality assurance, safety, environmental, and infection-control programs.
Recommend solutions to patient-care and department problems.
Conduct and participate in clinic educational programs.
Assist with data collection, prepare reports, and maintain patient statistics.
Keep the unit clean and orderly and maintain equipment in good working condition.
Perform related work as required.
