About The Position

ComForCare Home Care - Contra Costa West is hiring immediately for urgent 12-hour shift coverage in Orinda, California. The caregiver provides direct in-home assistance and compassionate support to help a client live comfortably and safely at home. The role includes assistance with activities of daily living, mobility, meals, companionship, and maintaining a safe home environment. Caregivers monitor the client's condition and report changes to supervisors while following care plans.

Requirements

Ability to work a 12-hour shift with immediate availability.
Compassionate, reliable, and patient demeanor.
Valid ID and ability to pass a background check.
Strong communication skills and ability to follow care plans.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience as a caregiver, HHA, CNA, or personal care aide.
CPR/First Aid certification.

Responsibilities

Provide direct in-home care and assistance to clients during 12-hour shifts.
Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
Support clients with mobility, transfers, and fall prevention.
Prepare meals and assist with feeding as needed.
Offer companionship and emotional support to promote client well-being.
Monitor and report changes in client condition to supervisors.
Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable home environment for the client.
