About The Position
ComForCare Home Care - Contra Costa West is hiring a caregiver for immediate 12-hour shift coverage in Orinda, California. The caregiver provides compassionate, direct in-home care and support to clients, helping them live comfortably and safely in their own homes. The role includes assisting with daily living activities, mobility, meals, companionship, and monitoring changes in client condition. Caregivers receive ongoing training and support and are thoughtfully matched with compatible clients.
Requirements
- Ability to work a 12-hour shift and immediate availability.
- Compassionate, reliable, and patient demeanor.
- Valid ID and ability to pass a background check.
- Strong communication skills and ability to follow care plans.
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience as a caregiver, HHA, CNA, or personal care aide.
- CPR/First Aid certification.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct in-home care and assistance to clients during 12-hour shifts.
- Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Support clients with mobility, transfers, and fall prevention.
- Prepare meals and assist with feeding as needed.
- Offer companionship and emotional support to promote client well-being.
- Monitor and report changes in client condition to supervisors.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable home environment for the client.
