Caregiver (On Call) - Assisted Living Community - Shakopee
About The Position
Suite Living Senior Care is hiring on-call Caregivers for its Assisted Living and Memory Care community in Shakopee. Caregivers provide personalized, person-centered support to residents, helping with daily needs and contributing to a safe, engaging environment. Experienced and newly certified applicants are welcome. New team members complete four days of paid onboarding training, Monday through Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., at the Arden Hills, Minnesota training center. Ongoing support and development are provided by experienced leadership, along with a team member development program that includes wage increases.
Requirements
- At least six months of caregiving experience.
- Ability to pass medications.
- At least 18 years old.
- Team-oriented, with excellent communication, empathy, and reliability.
- Must be available to work every other weekend.
Nice To Haves
- Caregiving experience in Assisted Living or Memory Care.
- CNA certification.
- CPR/First Aid knowledge.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Support resident mobility and transfers within the facility.
- Assist with medication administration; training is provided.
- Engage residents in meaningful activities and conversation.
- Provide light housekeeping and meal assistance.
- Monitor and report changes in residents' conditions to the leadership team.
- Respond promptly and calmly in emergency situations.
