Caregiver (On Call) - Assisted Living Community - Inver Grove Heights
About The Position
Suite Living Senior Care is hiring an on-call Caregiver for its Assisted Living and Memory Care community in Inver Grove Heights. Caregivers provide personalized, person-centered care and support to residents, helping them with daily needs and making each day brighter. The role is open to experienced or newly certified caregivers. New team members complete four days of paid onboarding training, Monday through Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., at the Arden Hills, Minnesota training center. Ongoing leadership support and development are available, along with a team member development program that includes wage increases.
Requirements
- At least 6 months of caregiving experience; Assisted Living or Memory Care experience is preferred.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Ability to pass medications, with training provided.
- Team player with excellent communication, empathy, and reliability.
- Casual/on-call availability.
- Availability to work every other weekend.
Nice To Haves
- CNA certification is preferred but not required.
- CPR/First Aid knowledge is preferred.
- Experience in Assisted Living or Memory Care is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Support resident mobility and transfers within the facility.
- Assist with medication administration; training is provided.
- Engage residents in meaningful activities and conversation.
- Provide light housekeeping and meal assistance.
- Monitor residents and report changes in condition to the leadership team.
- Respond quickly and calmly in emergency situations.
