Punjabi Speaking Caregiver
About The Position
Atlas Home Health is hiring a Punjabi-speaking Registered Home Care Aide for a part-time home care assignment in Benicia, California. The caregiver will provide one-to-one personal care and assistance with activities of daily living, supporting the client’s dignity, comfort, and independence. The role includes documenting services provided and reporting to the Executive Director. The assignment is scheduled for Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 10 AM to 2 PM, with shifts of approximately four hours depending on the client’s needs. Fluency in Punjabi is required to communicate effectively with the client. Compensation is $25–$30 per hour, depending on experience. Atlas Home Health provides long-term, private-duty home care for private clients and individuals with complex disabilities. Its caregivers serve adult and pediatric clients with a range of medical conditions, and the company’s supervisors work with families to create personalized care plans.
Requirements
- Be active on the California Home Care Aide Registry.
- Be fluent in Punjabi to communicate effectively with the client.
- Be willing to obtain Basic Life Support CPR/AED certification.
- Be able to read and follow written instructions and document care provided.
- Show initiative and ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Have empathy for the needs of ill, frail, and impaired individuals.
- Demonstrate tact, patience, and good personal hygiene.
- Be willing to submit to Livescan fingerprint clearance and provide a statement of prior criminal convictions.
- Be willing to obtain TB screening.
- Be at least 18 years old and a high school graduate or equivalent.
Nice To Haves
- One year of experience in a home care, hospital, or nursing home setting.
- A licensed driver with an insured automobile.
