About The Position

Clearwater at North Tustin is seeking a part-time Caregiver for the night shift at its senior living community in Santa Ana. The Caregiver assists residents with daily living activities while maintaining their dignity and respect and following applicable policies, procedures, regulations, and guidelines. The role includes responding to resident needs and alerts, following care plans, supporting safe transfers and transportation, and documenting resident information and changes in condition.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED required.
Minimum of one year of work experience as a Caregiver or in a related field preferred.
First Aid/CPR/BLS certification required.
Background clearances as required by government regulations.
Must meet health requirements, including TB screening.

Nice To Haves

Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification preferred.
Minimum of one year of work experience as a Caregiver or in a related field preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform regular safety checks on residents.
Assist and encourage residents with daily living activities and respond promptly and kindly to their needs.
Read and follow care plans, including managing oxygen tanks and concentrators according to physician orders.
Transport residents as needed, assisting with transfers into and out of beds and wheelchairs using safe lifting and transfer techniques; escort residents to meals, activities, and other transportation as requested or assigned.
Clean, complete laundry, and assist with other community activities and assigned duties.
Chart and document appropriate information, including incident reports, and immediately communicate observed or suspected changes in a resident’s condition to a supervisor.
Respond promptly to resident alerts, carry radios, and react to emergencies and other resident requests.
Comply with Clearwater Living standards and regulations to support safe and efficient operations.
Maintain a positive, professional image and high standards of appearance and grooming, including wearing the required uniform and name tag.

Perform other duties and tasks as assigned or required.
