About The Position

Clearwater at North Tustin is seeking a part-time Caregiver for the night shift at its senior living community. The Caregiver assists residents with daily living activities while maintaining their dignity and respect and following applicable policies, procedures, regulations, and guidelines. The role includes resident safety checks, responding to requests and alerts, following care plans, documenting care, and helping with transportation and community activities. The stated pay range is $20.00–$23.81, depending on experience (DOE).

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
First Aid, CPR, and BLS certification required.
Background clearances as required by government regulations.
Must meet health requirements, including TB.

Nice To Haves

At least one year of work experience as a Caregiver or in a related field is preferred.
Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform regular safety checks on residents.
Assist and encourage residents in daily living activities, responding promptly and kindly to their needs.
Read and follow care plans to ensure proper resident care, including managing oxygen tanks and concentrators according to physician orders.
Transport residents as needed, assisting them into and out of beds, wheelchairs, and other settings using safe lifting and transfer techniques; escort residents to and from meals, activities, and other transportation as requested or assigned.
Clean, complete laundry, and assist with other community activities and job duties as required or assigned.
Chart and document appropriate information, including incident reports, and immediately communicate observed or suspected changes in a resident’s condition to a supervisor.
Respond promptly to resident alerts, carry radios, and handle emergencies or other resident requests as needed.
Comply with Clearwater Living standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient operations.
Maintain a positive, professional image and high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including wearing the proper uniform and name tag while working.
Represent Clearwater Living’s principles and core values daily.
Perform other duties and tasks as assigned or required.
