Caregiver (NOC Shift) - Senior Living Community - Shakopee
About The Position
Suite Living Senior Care is hiring a caregiver for its Shakopee assisted living and memory care community. Caregivers work directly with residents to provide personalized, person-centered care and support. The employer welcomes experienced or newly certified candidates and provides medication-administration training, a four-day onboarding program at its Arden Hills training center, and ongoing support and development from experienced leadership. The role is for the NOC shift, 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. Part-time and full-time shifts are available, and all shifts require availability to work every other weekend.
Requirements
- At least 6 months of caregiving experience.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Ability to pass medications; training is provided.
- Excellent communication, empathy, reliability, and teamwork.
- Availability for the NOC shift from 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
- Availability to work every other weekend.
Nice To Haves
- Caregiving experience in assisted living or memory care.
- CNA certification; CNA, HHA, PCA, RA, or NAR caregivers are sought.
- CPR/First Aid knowledge.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Support residents with mobility and transfers within the facility.
- Assist with medication administration; training is provided.
- Engage residents in meaningful activities and conversation.
- Provide light housekeeping and meal assistance.
- Monitor and report changes in residents’ condition to the leadership team.
- Respond quickly and calmly in emergency situations.
