About The Position
Assisting Hands Home Care provides non-medical assistance to seniors and others at home, with the goal of helping clients remain independent, safe, and comfortable in their own homes. The Caregiver provides personalized in-home support, including companionship and assistance with personal care and daily activities. The role offers 12-hour shifts, including overnight shifts from 8:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m., as well as day shifts from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. The position offers an immediate start and starting pay of $18 to $22 per hour. Hours over 40 per week and hours worked on holidays are paid at time and a half. Requirements
- At least 2 years of caregiving experience.
- Reliable transportation is required.
- Comfort helping both male and female clients.
- Experience assisting with personal care.
- No restrictions concerning type of care.
- Experience caring for bedbound clients.
Responsibilities
- Provide companionship through conversation, games, and watching TV.
- Assist clients with toileting.
- Assist clients with showering.
- Help prevent falls.
- Prepare meals.
- Provide medication reminders.
- Perform light housekeeping.
