Full-Time Dementia Caregiver Opportunities – 12-Hour Day & Night Shifts | Dallas, TX
About The Position
Always Best Care Senior Services is seeking compassionate, dependable caregivers to provide dedicated one-on-one support for a client with advanced dementia residing in a senior living community in Dallas, Texas. Caregivers provide individualized care focused on the client's safety, comfort, dignity, and daily routine. The position offers two 12-hour shifts per week, or 24 hours weekly, with daytime and overnight schedules available. Caregivers must remain attentive and engaged throughout each assignment. Previous professional caregiving experience is sought; experience with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, or memory care is strongly preferred.
Requirements
- Previous professional caregiving experience.
- Familiarity with clients experiencing advanced cognitive decline.
- Confidence providing supervision, verbal cueing, reassurance, and redirection.
- Patience and a calm, respectful approach to challenging situations.
- Compassionate, attentive, and dependable work ethic.
- Excellent attendance and punctuality.
- Reliable transportation to and from the assignment.
- Availability to work two full 12-hour shifts each week.

Responsibilities
- Provide consistent one-on-one supervision and companionship.
- Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Support mealtimes and provide feeding assistance when necessary.
- Offer frequent verbal cues, reminders, and gentle redirection.
- Closely monitor the client and help prevent unsafe situations.
- Assist with mobility and activities of daily living.
- Respond patiently and calmly to dementia-related behaviors.
- Maintain familiar routines to promote comfort and reduce confusion.
- Create a reassuring, structured, and supportive environment.
- Communicate changes in condition, unusual behaviors, or concerns to appropriate office staff.
- Complete required care documentation after each shift.
