Part-Time Hospice Caregiver Opportunities – Day & Night Shifts | McKinney, TX
About The Position
Always Best Care Senior Services is seeking compassionate, dependable, and experienced caregivers to provide personalized support for a hospice client in McKinney, Texas. Caregivers will join a coordinated team working to ensure consistent comfort and care around the clock. The role involves hands-on personal care for a client with significant care needs, including limited mobility, and requires treating the client with dignity and respect. This is a part-time opportunity with multiple shifts available as the team establishes dependable 24/7 coverage. Scheduling will depend on the client's needs and available shifts. Hospice care, bed-bound client care, incontinence care, and extensive assistance with activities of daily living are preferred experience. Hindi-speaking caregivers are especially encouraged to apply.
Requirements
- Previous professional caregiving experience.
- Comfort providing extensive personal care and assistance with activities of daily living.
- Compassionate, respectful, and professional attitude.
- Reliability, punctuality, and commitment to scheduled shifts.
- Reliable transportation to and from the client's home.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a consistent caregiving team.
Nice To Haves
- Hospice or bed-bound client care experience.
- Experience with incontinence care, repositioning, and transfers.
- Hindi-speaking ability.
Responsibilities
- Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Provide incontinence care and personal hygiene assistance.
- Help with repositioning and mobility.
- Assist with transfers and other hands-on personal care needs.
- Prepare meals and provide feeding assistance when necessary.
- Perform light housekeeping related to the client's care.
- Offer companionship, reassurance, and emotional support.
- Monitor the client's condition and report changes or concerns to agency staff.
- Follow the established plan of care and care instructions.
- Communicate with fellow caregivers and the care team to maintain continuity of care.
