About The Position

Halcyon Home is hiring caregivers, including CNA and/or CMA candidates, to provide individualized, one-on-one personal care to clients in the greater Austin, San Marcos, and New Braunfels areas. The locally owned home health and hospice company emphasizes hospitality, compassion, and positive patient outcomes for its aging clients. Caregivers may work day or night shifts ranging from 1 to 12 hours. Full-time, part-time, and PRN hours are available, with flexible scheduling.

Requirements

• Be COVID vaccinated or willing to be vaccinated.
• Have a current driver's license or state identification.
• Have reliable transportation to travel to assignments.
• Be able to follow written and verbal instructions and competently perform tasks assigned by a Supervisor or Scheduler.
• Agree to and pass a criminal history check, an Employee Misconduct Registry check, and a three-year driving record check.
• Be willing to work at least 8 hours per week, which may consist of multiple short shifts.

• CNA license or CMA license.

Responsibilities

• Provide bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal care.
• Assist with incontinence care and toileting.
• Handle daily laundry and linens.
• Perform light housekeeping.
• Prepare meals.
• Provide medication reminders.
• Provide dementia and memory care.
• Offer standby assistance during walks.
• Provide transportation and run errands.
• Follow written and verbal instructions and perform tasks assigned by a Supervisor or Scheduler.
