About The Position

Preferred Care at Home is hiring In-Home Caregivers to provide non-medical care to clients in the greater Burlington area. The role involves supporting clients with daily living, mobility, meals, companionship, medication reminders, and other needs in accordance with care plans. Previous caregiver experience is preferred but not required, and no formal training is required. Part-time and full-time shifts are available, with immediate assignments. Requirements

Previous caregiver experience, professional or personal, is preferred but not required.
Ability to follow care plans and communicate effectively with clients, families, and supervisors.
Compassionate, patient, and reliable personality.
Physical ability to perform caregiving tasks.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred for certain clients.
CPR/First Aid certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with daily living activities, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
Assist clients with mobility and transfers, including use of assistive devices when needed.
Perform light housekeeping, including laundry, dishwashing, and tidying living spaces.
Prepare and serve meals according to clients’ dietary needs and preferences.
Provide companionship and engage clients in meaningful activities.
Monitor and report changes in clients’ health, behavior, or needs to appropriate personnel.
Provide medication reminders and help ensure adherence to care plans.
Accompany clients to appointments, errands, or social activities as needed.
