About The Position
No Place Like Home Senior Services is recruiting experienced caregivers to support seniors in their homes throughout Wake, Johnston, and Harnett Counties, North Carolina. Cases range from companionship to advanced personal care, and assignments are matched to each caregiver’s experience, training, qualifications, and availability. Most clients need memory care, so dementia care experience is strongly preferred. Bilingual caregivers are also encouraged to apply. Caregivers provide support according to each client’s individualized care plan, helping clients feel safe, respected, valued, and cared for. The agency offers training, communication, teamwork, and caregiver-client matching based on personality, compatibility, care needs, and availability. Recruitment is ongoing as client needs and case availability change.
Requirements
- Previous caregiving experience.
- Patience, kindness, and respect for older adults.
- Dependability and professionalism.
- Strong communication skills and willingness to work as part of a team.
- Ability to follow individualized care plans and agency procedures.
- Current CNA certification for applicants to a CNA position.
Nice To Haves
- Dementia care experience is strongly preferred.
- Bilingual skills are welcome and valued.
Responsibilities
- Provide companionship, conversation, and emotional support.
- Support clients living with dementia through patient communication, reassurance, and familiar routines.
- Prepare meals and assist with light housekeeping.
- Assist with bathing, dressing, toileting, and other daily activities.
- Help with mobility and transfers according to training.
- Provide advanced personal care within qualifications.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable home environment.
- Communicate changes or concerns to the office team.
- Encourage client independence while remaining attentive to safety.
- Follow individualized care plans and agency procedures.
