About The Position

The Caregiver provides assistance to residents in the Assisted Living Program with activities of daily living, helping them maintain quality of life, dignity, and independence. The role includes offering emotional and social support, following residents’ care schedules, documenting assistance, and informing a supervisor about resident issues or concerns. Caregivers must respect residents’ confidentiality and maintain a positive, friendly demeanor toward residents and coworkers.

Requirements

At least one year of experience working in senior care.
English proficiency sufficient to perform job duties, communicate with supervisors and other employees, and respond to and communicate during emergencies.
Basic computer skills.
Compassionate, professional, kind, engaging, empathetic, and helpful demeanor.
Ability to work as part of a team and handle multiple tasks safely and efficiently.
Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with variables in high-stress situations.
Ability to maintain a positive and friendly demeanor toward residents and coworkers.

Responsibilities

Assist residents as needed with medication reminders, bathing, grooming, dressing, escort service, and other activities of daily living.
Follow the schedule of residents’ needs set out by the supervisor.
Provide emotional and social support to residents.
Document assistance in a daily log.
Inform the supervisor of resident issues or concerns.
Respect and encourage residents’ independence and dignity.
Respect residents’ confidentiality.
