About The Position

Elite Care at Oatfield Estates is a locally owned assisted-living community in Milwaukie, Oregon. Caregivers provide residents with daily support for activities of daily living, including bathing, bathroom assistance, preparation and dressing, and emotional encouragement. The role also involves observing and reporting changes in residents’ health, behavior, and other needs; documenting care; and helping maintain a clean, safe, and orderly environment. The listed schedule is Sunday–Wednesday or Thursday–Saturday, from 6 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Speak, read, and write English fluently.
• Pass a State of Oregon background check.
• Be authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not offered.
• Have reliable transportation or another consistent means of commuting to work.
• Be able to lift 50 pounds regularly and move quickly and frequently during a shift.
• Have the ability to document and correspond properly in charts and the portal.
• Value and respect people receiving long-term care.
• Consistent attendance.

Nice To Haves

• At least six months of experience in behavioral health or a similar field is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living.
• Provide personal care, including bathing and bathroom assistance, morning or evening preparations, and dressing.
• Provide emotional support and encouragement to residents as they perform necessary tasks.
• Monitor and report changes in residents’ health, behavior, and overall needs.
• Work cooperatively with the care team and participate in training and development.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly environment for residents and colleagues.
• Correspond and document properly in resident charts and the portal.
