PT Second Shift Caregiver
About The Position
Easter Seals of Tennessee is seeking compassionate, hardworking caregivers to support people with disabilities as they learn, work, and participate in their communities. Based in a home where people receive support, Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) assist with daily activities, including meal preparation, personal hygiene, and medication administration. They may accompany individuals into the community and support therapeutic and behavioral plans in partnership with clinical staff to enhance the quality of life of those supported. Previous experience is not required; training is provided for candidates with the right attitude. The schedule is Friday and Saturday, 4 PM to 12 AM. The starting rate is $15 per hour.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Must have valid automobile insurance.
- Basic computer skills.
- Must pass a background and drug screen.
Responsibilities
- Assist people supported with daily activities, including meal preparation, personal hygiene, and medication administration.
- Accompany individuals in the community to facilitate community involvement.
- Support therapeutic and behavioral plans in partnership with clinical staff.
