About The Position
Interim HealthCare is hiring Caregivers in Scio, Oregon, and surrounding areas to provide personalized, home-based care for seniors who need help with daily activities. Caregivers support clients in living safely at home while promoting their well-being, comfort, and independence. The role includes personal care, household assistance, transportation, companionship, mobility support, medication reminders, and documenting and reporting changes in a client’s condition. The position offers one-to-one aide-to-client ratios and schedule flexibility.
Requirements
- High school diploma.
- Six months of experience as a Caregiver.
- CPR certification.
- Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and transportation.
- Compassionate, helpful nature and good communication skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Responsibilities
- Provide the personal care and support seniors need to live safely at home.
- Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, light housekeeping, meal preparation, shopping, transportation, and companionship.
- Help clients with ambulation, transferring, and range-of-motion exercises.
- Provide medication reminders, document clients’ conditions, and notify a supervisor of concerns.
- Maintain a safe home environment, including keeping pathways unobstructed.
- Participate in enjoyable activities with clients, such as puzzles, games, reading, and hobbies.
