About The Position

Acti-Kare Responsive In-Home Care – Tracy is seeking an experienced part-time caregiver to assist adult clients in their homes in Stockton, California. This is an immediate opening, and candidates should be available to start right away. Caregivers work one-to-one with one client at a time, though they may have more than one client. Shifts are typically 3 to 6 hours, with a listed schedule of 4-hour shifts. The role includes hourly and live-in opportunities, and caregivers must complete online training before beginning shifts unless they can provide certificates for training already completed.

Caregivers support older adults and people recovering from injury or surgery, as well as people with disabilities. The work environment is described as flexible, safe, and casual, with on-the-job training. Applicants must pass required background and reference checks. Caregivers follow CDC recommendations for COVID-19 guidelines; vaccination is not required, though being fully vaccinated is a plus.

Requirements

• At least one year of caregiving experience.
• Valid driver's license; required for transportation services.
• Enjoy working with seniors.
• Availability for 3- to 6-hour part-time shifts, including weekdays and weekends, and willingness to work with more than one client.
• Availability for day shifts.
• Ability to pass required background and reference checks.
• Complete online training before starting shifts, or provide certificates for previously completed training.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living, including cooking, bathing, dressing, and toileting.
• Provide housekeeping and laundry assistance.
• Assist clients with ambulation and physical transfers.
• Provide transportation services when applicable.
• Work one-to-one with a client in the client's home.
• Complete online training before starting shifts, unless previously completed training certificates are provided.
• Adhere to CDC recommendations for COVID-19 guidelines.
