About The Position

The Caregiver provides compassionate support to residents in an assisted living community, helping meet their daily needs and supporting their comfort, safety, and overall well-being. This PRN position offers flexible scheduling across various shifts, with scheduling based on facility needs and the caregiver’s availability.

The caregiver works collaboratively with the nursing team and fellow caregivers, follows individual care plans and facility policies, and helps maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment. The role requires treating residents with dignity, respect, patience, and kindness.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Compassion, patience, and a genuine desire to help others.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to follow instructions, prioritize responsibilities, and maintain resident safety.
• Basic computer skills and ability to complete required documentation.
• Dependable, professional, and positive attitude.
• Ability to work various shifts as needed is preferred.
• Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent, if required by facility policy.

Nice To Haves

• Previous caregiving or assisted living experience preferred.
• Ability to work different shifts based on staffing needs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including grooming, bathing, dressing, and personal hygiene.
• Provide compassionate care, companionship, and emotional support to residents.
• Assist residents with mobility and ensure their safety and comfort.
• Monitor and report changes in residents’ health, behavior, or overall condition to appropriate team members.
• Follow individual care plans and facility policies to provide consistent, quality care.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents.
• Work collaboratively with the nursing team and fellow caregivers to meet residents’ needs.
• Treat every resident with dignity, respect, patience, and kindness.
• Complete required documentation.
