About The Position

Hitchcock Square is seeking a caring, dependable Personal Care Aide for a PRN, first-shift position. The role provides hands-on assistance with residents’ daily activities while building supportive relationships and helping residents feel comfortable and at home. The position requires a patient, compassionate approach, flexibility, and a commitment to serving seniors. Hitchcock Square has partnered with Tapcheck, a mobile app that allows team members to access earned wages instantly. Navion can provide the required 80-hour personal care training.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
High school diploma or GED accepted; may be required by state regulations.
Must be willing to obtain an 80-hour personal care training certificate; Navion can provide the training.
Positive attitude, flexibility to perform various duties in service to residents, and ability to work in a team environment.
Dedication and passion for serving seniors, with excellent customer service skills.
Ability to make choices and decisions and act in the resident’s best interest.
Written and verbal communication skills and an appropriate level of understanding.
Organizational and time-management skills.
Good judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience working with seniors is preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, positioning, transfers, mobility, and incontinence care.
Prepare residents for meals, snacks, and activities.
Assist residents in the dining room, including serving meals and clearing tables.
Respond to the resident emergency call system.
Observe, document, and report changes in residents’ condition to the Resident Care Coordinator or their designee.
Communicate politely and professionally with residents and family members.
Maintain resident care documentation as required by state regulations and Navion Senior Solutions policies and procedures.
Transport residents when required.
