About The Position

The Caregiver, or Resident Assistant (RA), provides services that maintain and support residents’ activities of daily living under the supervision of a Nurse. The RA delivers strong customer service with courtesy, dignity, and respect. This position is scheduled for the PM shift, 3:00 PM–11:30 PM, and includes every other weekend. Full-time and part-time opportunities are available.

Requirements

• Ability to read, write, speak, and follow verbal directions in English.
• Basic computer skills and experience with, or ability to learn, electronic health record systems.
• Compassion for and commitment to hospitality, service, and excellence in senior care.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to be flexible with hours, shift schedules, and assignments.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year of nursing or resident assistant care experience in senior services preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care services, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, positioning, transferring, and other designated care.
• Assist residents in dining.
• Perform homemaking tasks.
• Respond to and report changes in residents’ health status, and report recommendations for changes to resident care plans.
• Complete thorough daily charting.
• Collaborate with other community team members to deliver The Waters Way.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
