About The Position

PAI is seeking dedicated and compassionate Individualized Home Supports (IHS) Professionals to provide essential support to individuals with disabilities. This role involves helping individuals maintain independence, improve daily living skills, and engage in meaningful activities, both at home and in the community. The ideal candidate is compassionate, reliable, and patient, with a desire to enhance the lives of others. PAI has been a vital part of our community since 1990, serving people with developmental disabilities and maximizing their integration into the community through meaningful, person-centered activities. PAI offers a Day Program and also serves individuals in their home and in the community through its Individualized Home Supports and Respite (IHSR) program. Requirements

High school degree/G.E.D. and be 18 years of age or older.
Pass DHS background study and maintain clearance to provide direct services without continuous supervision.
Reliable vehicle with valid driver's license, proof of car insurance and clean driving record required.

Skilled in de-escalation and managing behaviors preferred.

Responsibilities

Offer assistance with personal care, including hygiene, meals, and medication management.
Facilitate enjoyable and meaningful activities to ensure individuals remain engaged and active at home and in the community.
Assist individuals in learning and improving skills for independent living, including budgeting, grocery shopping, and meal planning.
Foster companionship and provide emotional support, creating a positive and comfortable atmosphere.
Help with household chores such as meal preparation, cleaning, and laundry.
Ensure a safe and secure environment for the individuals you support.
