Requirements

• At least one year of work experience for applicants qualifying as Home Health Aides or Certified Nurse Aides.
• Current Home Health Aide license in good standing with the board for Home Health Aide applicants.
• Reliable transportation.
• Applicants without experience may receive paid training to become a Home Health Aide.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living.
• Provide bathing, grooming, toileting, and nail care.
• Support range-of-motion activities and exercises.
• Assist with transfers and use mechanical lifting devices.
• Assist with oral feeding.
• Check vital signs, including temperature, pulse, and respiration.
• Perform home management tasks such as laundry, meal preparation, and bed making.
• Assist clients with ambulation.
• Provide medication assistance.
• Provide care in accordance with applicable state and local mandates.
