About The Position
BrightStar Care of the Monterey Peninsula is hiring caring and reliable professionals to support clients in their homes. We offer flexible per diem scheduling with 4-hour, 6-hour, 8-hour, and 12-hour shifts available throughout Monterey County. Choose the shifts that work best with your availability while making a meaningful difference in the lives of others.
Requirements
- Valid driver's license
- Reliable and insured vehicle
- Current CPR certification
- Current negative TB test or chest X-ray
- Active registration with the California Home Care Aide Registry
- At least one year of professional caregiving, home care, personal care, or related experience preferred
- Ability to safely assist clients with mobility and activities of daily living
- Dependable, compassionate, professional, and detail-oriented
- Ability to communicate clearly with clients, families, and the BrightStar Care team
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, respectful, and personalized care
- Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility
- Provide safe transportation to appointments, errands, and activities
- Prepare and serve meals according to client preferences and dietary requirements
- Assist with light housekeeping, laundry, and maintaining a clean living environment
- Provide companionship and engage clients in meaningful conversations and activities
- Follow each client's individualized plan of care
- Observe and report changes in a client's condition
- Complete accurate care notes and documentation after each shift
- Follow HIPAA requirements and maintain client confidentiality
- Arrive on time and provide dependable care for every scheduled shift
